The Chardham Yatra is one of the main religious tours that many people of India and abroad, visit every year. It consists of temples like Gangotri, Yamunotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath. Both Gangotri and Yamunotri are located near the origination point of the rivers Ganga and Yamuna. These rivers are treated like mothers and the people offer Prasad in the temples. Likewise, the temple of Badrinath is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and Kedarnath to Lord Shiva. One can do the necessary rituals at each spot of the Chardham.

The Mansarovar Lake and Mt. Kailash are located in Tibet. The holy mountain has much fame for being the spot of religious importance for Hindus, Buddhists, Jains, and Bons. It is popularly assumed as the abode of Lord Shiva as per the Hindu Mythology. The Mansarovar is the largest freshwater lake in such a high altitude. There are a lot of Buddhist Gompas in Lahaul and Spiti district of Himachal Pradesh. These are the most visited pilgrimage sites visited by the Buddhists.

The famous temple of Lord Shiva as Pashupatinath is located in the city of Kathmandu. It is the most visited pilgrimage centre in Nepal where mainly Hindus visit for religious trips.

The Vaishno Devi temple is located in the state of Jammu and Kashmir in India. The trek to Vaishno Devi temple gifts outstanding views to the pilgrims. Thus, it is one of the most visited places for religious tours in India.
